New for 2023, the A01-SD OR is built from scratch as one of CZ Custom's flagship models, and improves upon the already excellent A01 series. The dust cover is slightly shorter, giving the A01-SD OR an appearance reminiscent of a standard CZ75. The shorter dust cover offers greater balance, and promotes faster target acquisitions. The A01-SD OR has also been modified with an optics cut, allowing a micro red dot sight to be installed. Just like its predecessor, the frame is cold hammer forged and precisely CNC-machined from high strength 4140 steel bar stock, giving the weapon remarkable durability. Like all of CZ's handguns, the A01-SD OR offers exceptional ergonomics thanks to a deep beavertail, an undercut trigger guard, and 25 LPI checkering. This provides optimal control over the weapon, and gives the A01-SD OR handling characteristics of a CZ75.The A01-SD OR 's trigger is taken from a CZ85 Combat, and delivers a double action pull weight of 8 °C 8.5 lbs, and a single action pull weight of 3 °C 3.5 lbs with a short reset.
