The Taurus Defender 856 line of pistols are lightweight, easy to conceal, and offer exceptional reliability. This particular model is outfitted with custom VZ Grip, which utilize the distinctive "Twister" texture °C a less aggressive grip pattern optimized for concealed carry applications. The frame, cylinder, and barrel are made from high-strength stainless steel, with the frame and barrel given a Matte Stainless finish and the cylinder given a Matte black finish. These finishes provide excellent protection from the elements and gives the pistol a unique "two-tone" appearance. Other features of the Defender 856 include an easy to use trench sight, and a front night sight to promote greater accuracy in low-light environments. In addition, the Defender 856 features an exposed hammer spur with knurled texturing for comfortable shooting in single-action.
