The Taurus Defender 605 is chambered in the potent .357 Magnum/.38 Special +P cartridge, is easy to conceal and is exceptionally reliable. It utilizes a 5-shot cylinder which gives the weapon a slender width of just under 2-inches, allowing the Defender 605 to be carried in a waistband holster with little to no imprinting. The cylinder, frame, and barrel are made from high-strength stainless steel, and feature a Matte black finish for optimal protection from the elements, corrosion, and scuffing. Other features of the Defender 605 include special grips made by Hogue, these grips feature ergonomic finger grooves, stippling, and a sizable palm swell that comfortably fill the user's hands. In addition, the Defender 605 includes an extended ejector rod, as well as night sights for accurate shooting in low light situations.
