The 1720 Protector Case is the centerpiece of Pelican?s long cases, and is longer than the 1700 Protector Case, but shorter than the 1750 case, making excellent for firearms such as AR15 rifles, and other long guns. It utilizes a heavily fortified Open cell core with solid wall design, giving the 1720 Protector outstanding impact, shock, and crush resistance. The 1720 Protector also features an O-Ring seal to keep out water and dust, and an automatic purge valve ensures the air pressure on the inside of the case is the same as the air pressure on the outside of the case for further water resistance. Aside from the case?s resistance to water, dust, and extreme physical force, the 1720 Protector can easily withstand intense heat and cold thanks to its construction of Polypropylene and Polymer.

Other features of the 1720 Protector include an ergonomic two-handed carry handle, as well as an additional one-handed carry handle with smooth polyurethane wheels on the opposite side for ease of transportation. In addition, the 1720 Protector features ultra-tough double-throw push/pull latches, and stainless steel padlock protectors provide more security for your gear.
