The 1606 Air Case is part of Pelican?s Long/Deep Series, which offers a sizable interior so you can avoid dangerously forcing your equipment into the wrong size case or leaving it unprotected with no other options. Like all of the premium cases in Pelican?s Air series, the 1606 Air Case is up to 40% lighter than hard cases of a similar class. Despite its ultra-lightweight, the 1606 Air Case is still highly durable thanks to a Proprietary Polypropylene Blend construction ? this provides outstanding impact, shock, and crush resistance. The 1606 Air Case also features an EPDM O-ring seal to keep out water and dust, and a Hi-Flow Gore-Tex 3 Micron Hydrophobic Non-Woven purge valve enhances water resistance even further. In addition, the 1606 Air Case is outfitted with smooth rolling wheel and a retractable extension handle, and well as a folding carry handle for easy transportation.
