Based on Leica's renowned Calonox Sight, the Calonox Sight SE is an entry-level thermal optic with an attractive price point. Designed exclusively as a clip-on device, the Calonox Sight SE is reduced to the essentials with BT connectivity, additional eyecups, and hand-held function all removed without compromising image quality or performance. Like its predecessor, the Calonox Sight SE offers easy and intuitive operation with three ergonomically placed buttons. Installation is similarly easy with tutorial videos available on Leica's website. To ensure excellent image quality, the Calonox Sight SE is outfitted with a large 42mm lens and is powered by a high-performance vanadium oxide (VOx) sensor with 394x288 pixels and a pixel size of 17 ?m. Image quality is further enhanced with the proprietary Leica Image Optimization (LIO), which improves image quality with special algorithms. The lens and high-powered sensor combination allows the Calonox Sight SE to detect heat signatures up to 2000 yards away, recognize them at 800 yards, and deliver ultra-precise identification on heat signatures 500 yards away. These heat sources are projected onto a high resolution OLED display, and are viewable in four distinct color palettes: Red Hot, White Hot, Black Hot, and Rainbow. The color palette selection allows the user to select the most appropriate option to the observation at hand, and thus identify game more confidently. In addition, the Calonox Sight SE utilizes an internal battery with an 8 to 11 hour runtime, and is compatible with external USB power banks for extended usage.
