The HK SP5 Semiautomatic Pistol is the closest thing you can get to a real MP5, without the hassle of going through paperwork.

Many features on the SP5 mimics the MP5 such as the Navy barrel with a threaded tri-lug adaptor, paddle magazine release, and a fluted chamber. Another quality taken directly from the MP5 is the charging handle, which can be locked into place at the recess notch, enabling the user to do the "MP slap." At the heart of the SP5 is the legendary roller-delayed blowback operating system, the same system that made the G3 rifle such a popular choice. Due to the popularity of the MP5 and MP5 imitations, there are countless aftermarket accessories available for the SP5 such as handguards and rails.
