Daniel Defense's DD5 V4 Rifle combines versatility and long range performance. Designed with suppressed shooting in mind, the DD5 V4 is equipped with a unique user adjustable gas block. This gas block features a setting for un-suppressed and suppressed shooting, and can be adjusted through the rail with a hex key. At the heart of the DD5 V4 is its advanced bolt carrier group that has been substantially upgraded for increased reliability. A DLC coating and a special super-finish provides a slick surface for a high round count between cleanings and requires minimal oiling. The bolt is also constructed from a special stainless steel to greatly increase service life, and a tungsten buffer weight in the rear reduces static mass and increases dynamic mass for superior dependability.

The DD5 V4's upper and lower receiver are constructed from precision machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard coat to stand up to the elements. The cold hammer forged, chrome lined barrel utilizes proprietary steel, and is topped with Daniel Defense's Superior Suppression Device which keeps flash signature and muzzle rise to a minimum. Both the handguard and buttstock feature a glass filled polymer construction, and have a soft touch overmolding for shooter comfort and positive weapon control. Other features of the DD5 V4 include a flattop picatinny rail for installing an optic of choice and has ample room for clip-on night vision and thermal devices. In addition, the DD5 V4 is outfitted with multiple M-LOK attachment points for mounting fore-grips, tactical lights/lasers, and other accessories.
