Aimpoint's Duty RDS was built to meet the demands of Law Enforcement Officers, who needed a low-profile, cost effective, and professional quality red dot sight. The Duty RDS was constructed with the latest materials, technology, and advanced electronic components. To ensure the Duty RDS could stand up to real-world abuse, the housing is constructed from hard, pressure-forged aluminum with a non-reflective anodized finish. The lenses are recessed to protect them from scratches and impact damage. In terms of functionality, the Duty RDS is as easy to use as it is durable. It utilizes a newly designed, digital intensity keypad that sits flush within the housing. This keypad can be manipulated while wearing gloves, and allows the user to switch between the 6 daylight settings and 4 night vision settings. The windage and elevation adjustments are also mounted flush within the housing °C this eliminates the need for protective caps. The windage and elevation turrets also produce audible clicks when zeroing the optic. In addition, the Duty RDS features a precise 2-MOA dot that delivers fast target acquisition, and is configured for absolute co-witness.
