CZ USA took one of its most formidable handguns, the CZ75, and optimized it for competition to create the CZ75 SP-01 Competition. This truly match-grade handgun excels on the range, but works equally as well as a home defense weapon thanks to a wide array of performance and accuracy enhancing features. When used in double action, the trigger offer a smooth pull that breaks cleanly at 7.5 lbs, and delivers a crisp 3.5 lb pull when used in single action. The trigger's performance can be attributed to the competition hammer which is equipped with a lightened spring. This gives the CZ75 SP-01 Competition a lively feel and makes hammer manipulations intuitive and easy. Like all of the handguns in the CZ75 family, the SP-01 Competition is exceptionally ergonomic and comfortable to shoot. This is thanks to a curved frame designed for a perfect fit in the shooter's hand, and a tang that extends over the web of hand provides protection from hammer or slide bite. This special design eliminates the "brick-in-the-hand" feeling that plagues high capacity pistols of a similar class, and makes the weapon feel like an extension of the shooter's arm.
