New for 2023, Trijicon's RCR (Ruggedized Closed Reflex) is a compact, extremely durable optic built to provide enhanced accuracy and withstand the worst possible conditions. It utilizes the same bolt pattern as the RMR, allowing the RCR to be mounted without the need for additional plates, enables the use of RMR compatible iron sights, and allows the optic to be mounted using the Trijicon RMR bolt pattern. The patented RCR mounting bolts deliver a durable and simple to use mounting solution which prevents over-torquing, cross threading, and stripping out of the screw head. To ensure maximum durability, the RCR is outfitted with the same housing shape of the RMR °C but with an enclosed emitter. This design diverts the force of an impact away from the lens. The result is greatly increased drop survivability from direct impacts, and enables the user to brace the RCR on a flat surface to rack the slide of the host weapon single handedly. Durability is further enhanced by the RCR's 7075-T6 aluminum body, and ruggedized battery contacts ensures the internal electronic components are protected.

Like all Trijicon optics, the RCR offers exceptional optical performance. This is thanks to the use of wide-band lens coatings to enhance light transmission, and to minimize changes in target area color. Other features of the RCR include a top-loading battery compartment, allowing batteries to be changed without having to remove the optic from the host weapon, and windage and elevation adjustments can be made without the need for special tools.
