The original P226-XFive was a high-end target pistol made by the expert gunsmiths at Sig Sauer's Master Shop in Germany. For the past two decades, these handguns had a reputation for accuracy and excellent triggers, but were unfortunately nearly impossible to obtain in the United States. Now, Sig Sauer brings this legendary handgun back with the P226-XFive Legion °C offering all the same features of the original as well as a wide array of modern enhancements. One of the most obvious upgrades is an integrated 2-port expansion chamber to redirect the expanding gasses upwards to reduce muzzle rise. Recoil is reduced even further thanks to a 4.4-inch bull barrel with a 35° muzzle crown, which also promotes greater accuracy. The trigger has been replaced with a contemporary AX3 Trigger System °C a fully adjustable trigger with a flat-face to provide additional leverage when pressing the trigger. Other features of the P226-XFive include a high-visibility fiber-optic front sight as well an adjustable Dawson-style rear sight plate °C the sight plate is removable, and can be replaced with a direct mount Romeo1 Pro, Romeo2, or any other micro red dot that utilizes the standard PRO foot print. In addition, the P226-XFive Legion comes with Tungsten Infused TXG grip panels to provide maximum purchase on the weapon.
