Sig Sauer's P220 was originally designed in 1976, and quickly gained a reputation as one of the most accurate semiautomatic .45 handguns on the market. The P220 Nitron is an updated take on an already proven handgun. It utilizes Sig Sauer's own 4-point safety system with a decocking leaver, automatic firing pin safety block, safety intercept notch, and trigger bar disconnector. The hard-wearing slide is machined out of bar-stock alloy steel, and coated with an abrasion resistant Nitron finish. The light weight frame features an integrated accessory rail for the installation of lights and lasers, as well as a hard coat anodized finish.
