The Benchrest 8-32x56mm Riflescope brings Nightforce's legendary durability and optical quality to the world of benchrest shooting. It comes equipped with a sizable 56mm objective lens that utilizes a multi-element design like those found in the highest quality telescopes to focus light rays more precisely for exceptional image clarity and color accuracy. The lens is made from multi-coated ED glass, resulting in superb light transmission, brilliant images, and exceptional color contrast. The objective is adjustable, and allows for extra-fine focus to adjust parallax from 25 yards to infinity. Like all the other riflescope made by Nightforce, the Benchrest 8-32x56mm Riflescope's lenses are matched and aligned by hand in a process called optical indexing to ensure the highest possible optical performance. The eyepiece delivers fast reticle focusing, and the glass-etched reticle provides optimal contrast even in unfavorable lighting conditions. The turrets on the Benchrest 8-32x56mm Riflescope are capped to prevent unintentional adjustments, and are calibrated in true .125 MOA (1/8 click) values. The turrets can be re-indexed to zero after the sight-in process, and are equipped with a coil spring plunger return system to maximize tracking accuracy. In addition, the Benchrest 8-32x56mm Riflescope are outfitted with a one-piece tube precision machined from a solid bar stock of 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. The tube is two to three times thicker than riflescopes of a lesser quality, resulting in less overall stress, greater thermal stability, a consistent zero and a virtually impervious shield for the precision optics within.
