The use of steel instead of polymer increases the weight in all the right places to reduce recoil, making follow up shots substantially more accurate even during rapid fire. The use of a steel frame also bolsters the handgun's stability and generally makes the weapon feel better in the user's hand. The trigger has also been upgraded with the Dynamic Performance Trigger. Designed to significantly reduce pull weight, take up, and reset, The Dynamic Performance Trigger is one of the best striker fired triggers on the market, enhancing both accuracy and shooter confidence.

The PDP Match's grips utilize a wrap around design and are removable, allowing the user to change the grip's feel and profile with factory and aftermarket options.
