Description
From 1890 to 1892, The Dalton Gang terrorized the Wild West, robbing trains, stagecoaches and banks. It wasn't long before they attracted attention from the law, and a bounty of $5000 was placed on each of their heads. In an attempt to raise enough money to flee the country, the Dalton Gang set their sights on Coffeyville Kansas, where they intended on robbing two banks at the same time. Unfortunately for the Dalton Gang, word of their exploits had already reached the town. As they robbed the banks, the townsfolk armed themselves and a gunfight quickly ensued killing four of the gang members including one of the leaders Bob Dalton. Bob Dalton's personal sidearm, an 1873 Colt Single Action Army, was recovered from his body after the shootout.
