The Guardian is the lightest 1911-style handgun in the Dan Wesson lineup, and is an excellent concealed carry option. The Guardian's light weight can be attributed to its aluminum frame, as well as a skeletonized tactical hammer. The Guardian shares a similar profile to the Dan Wesson Commander Classic with its bobbed mainspring housing, this results in a reduction in frame size as well as less printing while carrying the weapon concealed. To ensure superior control over the pistol, the Guardian is outfitted with 25 LPI checkering on the front and back straps, and well as textured and stylized wood grips.
