The PX4 Compact Carry 2 was designed between Beretta and Langdon Tactical Technology over the course of two decades, resulting in a more shootable handgun. The standard barrel has been replaced with a heavy-profile rotating barrel copied from a handgun built by Ernest Langdon himself nicknamed the "cheater gun" for its flat shooting and minimal recoil. Just like its custom built counterpart, the heavy profile rotating barrel system significantly cuts down on recoil, making the PX4 Compact Carry 2 perform like a pistol equipped with a compensator. The controls are oversized for use with gloves, and Type-G de-cocker allowing the hammer to be safely lowered without pulling the trigger. The trigger itself has been improved with a Type D hammer spring to provide a smoother pull with reduced weight for enhanced accuracy. Finally, the hammer has been bobbed to prevent snagging when drawing the weapon.
