Building on the vastly successful 92X Series, the 92XI SAO LCO delivers exceptional out-of-the-box performance and offers the user a competitive edge. One of the most prominent improvements is a Single-Action-Only Xtreme-S Trigger. This trigger is flat-faced, and all of the parts are coated with a DLC finish, resulting in an improved purchase on the trigger, a shorter pull, and a quick reset °C all of which greatly enhances accuracy and performance. Another notable upgrade of the 92XI LCO is a frame-mounted safety similar to the one found on the 92X Performance. The frame safety is ambidextrous, and allows the 92XI LCO to be carried "°Cocked and Locked". To ensure maximum ergonomics, the 92XI LCO is equipped with a unique pair of Hogue "Squalo" Grips named after the Italian word for "shark". The Squallo grips were specifically made exclusively for Beretta, and utilize a unidirectional aggressive texturing to deliver maximum purchase on the weapon. The magazine well has been upgraded to a Toni System flared magazine well to promote faster reload speeds, and (3) Mec-Gar 18+4 round extended magazines come standard. Like many of the premium handguns Beretta's 92X series, the 92XI LCO is optics ready and features a 3-slot pictinny rail for use with tactical lights/lasers.
