The unique fusion of tangent and secant designs gives the bullet the distinctive ogive shape. This combined with the heavier weight allows the bullet to retain its kinetic energy for effective hydrostatic shock in targets over 500 yards away. The unique hybrid ogive design optimizes the efficiency of the bullet, reduces wind-drift and minimizes the sensitivity to seating depth. The 108 Grain Elite Hunter bullets utilize a thin J4 Precision Jacket, which rapidly expands on game animals. The bullet is designed to penetrate 2 to 3 inches before they begin to expand resulting in a massive wound cavity up to 15 inches wide, dropping most small to medium game animals instantly.
